Losing a loved one is one of the most painful experiences life can throw at us. The death of a spouse is the most stressful event possible; life changes in a heartbeat. Our mission is to help new widows and widowers during this very uncertain and scary time. We help change lives by helping them navigate the financial trauma most experience following the loss of a spouse. This trauma could be the loss of income, moving into more affordable housing or moving in with relatives, putting children into different schools, or going back to work.
Volunteering is the simplest but most effective way to support our mission. We have many opportunities and invite you to explore them below.
We are always seeking financial advisors with Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) credentials who want to “give back” to their communities. Because financial planning experience is a must, we only work with CFP® professionals. Join our team of nationwide coaches to serve the underserved widow community. To learn more, start with the Foundation for Financial Planning (FFP) website here.
We are always looking for top professionals to join our outstanding Board of Directors. Learn more here.
Our Care Managers are responsible for our “client intake,” talking with widowed men and women about the services they need and how we might assist them in their journey after loss. Strong communication skills and weekly availability for 1-2 hours required. Learn more here.
We need Listener Volunteers. We are launching this revolutionary service on June 23, 2023 in honor of International Widow’s Day. Learn more here.
