Make A Qualified Charitable Distribution

What If You Could Give and Save on Taxes at the Same Time?"

What is a QCD (Qualified Charitable Distribution)? A Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) allows individuals age 70½ or older to donate up to $108,000 annually directly from their IRA to qualified charities like ours—tax-free. It's one of the most tax-efficient ways to support causes you care about while satisfying your Required Minimum Distribution (RMD).

How It Works: Instead of withdrawing your RMD as taxable income, you direct your IRA administrator to transfer funds directly to our organization. The distribution counts toward your RMD requirement but is excluded from your taxable income, potentially lowering your tax bill and keeping you in a lower tax bracket.

Key Benefits: A QCD reduces your adjusted gross income, which may decrease your Medicare premiums and avoid taxes on Social Security benefits. Unlike standard charitable deductions, you benefit even if you don't itemize deductions. The gift is tax-free to you and provides full value to our mission.

Who Can Make a QCD? You must be 70½ or older at the time of the distribution, the funds must come directly from a traditional IRA (not a 401(k) or other retirement plan, though these can often be rolled into an IRA first), and the donation must go directly from your IRA to a qualified charity—not to you first.

Ready to Make Your Impact? Contact your IRA administrator to arrange a Qualified Charitable Distribution, or reach out to us for guidance. We're here to help make the process simple and ensure your gift creates the maximum impact.
