Alfred (Fred) Hymans
Fred’s areas of expertise include retirement planning, investment strategy, college funding, and insurance planning—including life, disability, and long-term care coverage. But more than his credentials or technical knowledge, it’s Fred’s ability to listen deeply and explain complex financial topics in simple, clear language that sets him apart. Clients often say they feel more confident and less anxious after meeting with him—a reflection of his calm presence and practical approach.
Since 2022, Fred has volunteered with Wings for Widows, providing pro bono financial guidance to newly widowed individuals facing one of life’s most difficult transitions. He understands that managing finances after the death of a spouse can feel overwhelming—especially when you're grieving and forced to make big decisions you didn’t expect. Fred brings not only professional expertise but also heartfelt compassion to these conversations, helping clients sort through urgent tasks, understand their options, and take the next step forward.
Fred believes that good financial advice isn’t just about numbers—it’s about trust, respect, and helping people regain a sense of control during uncertain times. His goal is to empower clients with the information and support they need to make wise, informed decisions that reflect their values and goals.
Born in San Francisco and raised in the Bay Area, Fred graduated from San Diego State University with a degree in Business Administration and Marketing. He lives in Rocklin with his wife Colleen, and between them they are proud parents and grandparents—blessed with two grown children and six energetic grandchildren who keep them smiling.
